For more than 30 years, airlines throughout the world have relied on Nordisk for strong, lightweight and reliable containers to protect both cargo and aircraft, and to ensure their safe, efficient operations.

Containers are used to load luggage, freight and mail on wide-body aircraft and specific narrow-body aircraft. Containers allow a large quantity of cargo to be bundled into a single unit, allowing swift and problem free turnaround.

In close cooperation with our customers, we have developed solutions for almost every ULD challenge and need. Our latest innovation is the super light Nordisk Ultralite AKE (LD3) container, which offers a weight reduction of around 25% per container, compared to traditional aluminium containers.

Together with DHL, we introduced the Nordisk LAY (AAC) container, which has a unique shape that fits both wide and narrow-bodied aircraft. The LAY air cargo container is part of our maximum volume program and you can read more about it under Specialities .
